Who We Are The Bonner Office of Civic Engagement strives to engage Spelman students in projects through: Project Impact Service Series Saturday Service Series Service Learning Seminars Alternative Spring Breaks created to improve the community surrounding the Spelman campus. What We Do Dedicated to Spelman College in 2004, the Bonner Office of Civic Engagement is a product of the merge of the Office of Community Service and the Bonner Scholars Program. At Spelman, faculty and staff strive to cultivate students who possess a sense of civic consciousness that provokes catalytic change in society. Through the Community Scholars, Campus Wide Service Initiatives, and Leadership Development programs, BOCE enables students to explore and enhance their experiences in the areas of scholarship, civic engagement and leadership.
