Discovery Elementary is focusing on sustainable transportation and launching a program called Two-wheel Tuesdays to increase the number of bicycle riders to promote student health and wellness and reduce CO2 emissions in our environment. This will be a year long Initiative where students will be invited to ride their bike's to school every Tuesday. The student Eco-Action Team will be working on projects to promote this event. The fifth grade class is designing sustainable sculptures about Two-Wheel Tuesdays to promote health and wellness and biking to school throughout the school. On Discovery's Green Apple Day of Service we will hold a Bike Drive during our Family Fitness Night to donate used bikes to a local charity.
