Munsey School STEAM Garden

November 15, 2018

Five third grade classes, approximately 125 students will benefit from the Munsey School STEAM Garden. Students will learn how to plant and cultivate a garden of assorted winter vegetables. Each of the five classes will be responsible for monitoring the growth of vegetables in each of the six planters. Five planters are treated with a soil amendment: 1) nitrogen (N); 2) potassium (P); 3) phosphorous (K); 4) NPK; 5) organic; and the 6th planter is the control group to which no soil amendment is added.

The students are to monitor the effects of the soil amendments on the growth and development of the vegetable plants.
