I retired from 25 years of teaching in 2012 and received my Masters in Administration. Worked for 3 years at a local charter school as an administrator, in charge of fundraising, parent volunteers, and grant writing. Then Spent a year teaching California History with a traveling field trip, that visits schools and provides hands-on experiences and students travel back in time to the Gold Rush Era. This year I was offered a dream job, helping teachers connect daily classroom lessons to the garden. Connect teachers to the resources they need to teach the lessons to their students. My main objective was to get the students out of the classroom and into the garden area to learn math, language, science, art, and do it with project based learning experiences. While at the same time making them aware of the environment they live in, and the impact they have on it. So, like I said, this is my dream job.
