UT Austin is the first PEER certified campus in the world. Certified under v1 of the PEER Rating System, the project achieved 304 out of 400 possible points thanks in large part to efficient and reliable on-site generation; despite a campus that doubled in square footage from 1976 to 2013, UT Austin has continued to meet all demand by increasing the central plant energy production efficiency.
