SUSTAINABILITY MOVEMENT- Rosary College School

A team of volunteers from Dar Al Handasah - Amman office Joined the Sustainability Movement 2018 Campaign to work on a Sustainability & Environmental awareness project at "Rosary College School" . The team worked on a set plan to provide the largest possible impact on the Students. The day of service starts with an interactive presentation covering the main environmental and sustainability opportunities encountered on a daily basis, followed by a hands-on activity to motivate students to become future green leaders

The event was BIG! it started with a Story Telling & Puppet Theatre show for all sections of Grade 3 students , it was THINK GREEN & ACT GREEN. The students then were distributed in to smaller groups to work on three hands on activities focusing on : Green artwork, Plastic Reuse & planting.

Activity 1: Creating environmental Art painting students, students spend time to think about the environment and to express how they can live in a greener school, drawings & paintings were placed at the school bulletin board

Activity2: (Plastic Reuse / Green Wall) Students built out of old plastic bottles & ropes a hanging flower bed array to be used in Creating a green wall with under activity 3.

Activity 3: (Planting/ Green Wall) Students hanged the flower bed array in to a wall and planted a selection of native plants to complete the Green Wall .

The event ended by a briefing session with a competition & Green Question, student received a certificate for participation for the great involvement and commitment.
