The event started with an interactive presentation which ensured the students have an understanding on the types of Pollution and how to THINK GREEN & ACT GREEN. the students then were distributed in to smaller groups to work on three hands on activities focusing on : Waste Reuse & Planting & Efficient Irrigation Systems

Activity 1: (GREEN PYRAMID) An innovative project were a wooden pyramid was designed to be a planted with plastic bottles & a smart drip irrigation system, the Green Pyramid is a Iconic identity of Sustainable Egypt. Students participated in installation of full irrigation system including hoses, fittings and drippers on a wooden pyramidal structure. Then students formed out of the old plastic bottles a flower bed and planted a selection of Native edible plants, after then hung bottles adjacent to irrigation drippers on the wooden pyramidal structure (we named it a green pyramid as an icon in Egypt).Eventually, students connected the irrigation hoses to an irrigation water supply source allowing sustainable automatic irrigation for the plants.

Activity 2: Students decorated white boards with colored bottle caps to write and draw green quotes and sketches.

Activity 3: (PLANTING) Planting in old tires, students formed out of the old decorated tires a flower bed and then planted a selection of Native plants.

The event ended by a briefing session were all participating students received a sustainable (reusable) shopping bag. Students promised to stop using the plastic bags and will encourage there parents to use the reusable bags when they go shopping, student received a certificate for participation for the great involvement and commitment.
