The students will be participating in a new PBL unit in which they will be addressing the driving question "How can we reduce trash at the gifted center?" In theory, all of the Ritenour district recycles. In reality, only a small portion of the recyclable materials end of in recycle bins. There is not a culture of recycling in the district. Our hope is that students will create a plan for the gifted center this year, but it would expand in future years to other schools in the district and eventually district-wide.
