Pine Middle School Garden Orchard Project with Legrand!

April 14, 2018

In partnership with Legrand, North and Central America's Better Communities employee volunteer program, Pine Middle School has an existing educational garden whose mission is to teach students about gardening and food production. Fruits and vegetables grown in the garden are sold to the neighborhood by the students and donated to seniors and families in need in the community. On April 14th, employees along with students & faculty will be participating in the Pine Garden Orchard Project as their first Green Apple Day of Service with Legrand! This project focuses on building new planter beds, planting new fruit trees and depositing new soil for existing plants. These improvements will help get the garden ready for the summer growing season and help keep up with rising demands in the area. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a local school as a part of Legrand's Better Schools focus and alignment with the Center for Green School's mission which will leave a lasting impact!
