Plant for the Planet

October 07, 2017

Washington Elementary is hosting a "Plant for the Planet" academy at school. Students will learn to become Jr Climate Justice Advocates , make group presentations to a local VIP, (Artist Milton 510 Bowens), learn how to care for a tree, and plant two trees on campus.
Student presenters are members of Plant for the planter, and also part of " Our Children's Trust", a group of students that won the right to a lawsuit on behalf of children, for their right to a clean environment. (Ourchildrenstrust.org)
Two trees are being donated by Sacramento Tree Foundation, to be planted on campus. We are still in need of some wood chips and buckets!

Since 2007, Plant for the Planet has empowered more than 55,000 children in 54 countries to work to stop
climate change. We have planted more than 14 billion trees so far! You can make a difference!! Register
