Green Apple Day of Service at James Madison Elementary

May 19, 2018

We will need all hands on deck to help expand our outdoor learning spaces at James Madison Elementary. On this day, we are making improvements to the schoolyard! There is a 100 ft x 100 ft horseshoe shaped area we will start to transform from grass to an outdoor learning and quiet sitting area. Additionally, we will be adding more trails to our 2 acre outdoor classroom. Since we didn't get the sundial painted on our asphalt area before winter hit, we will be painting that on this work day assuming there are enough volunteers. We will also assess the condition of our 16 fruit trees on site and perform maintenance as needed. PLEASE NOTE--WE MOVED THE DATE FROM APRIL 21ST DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS. (Stevens Point got a foot of snow less than 2 weeks before the original date of the event.)
